Top 10 Best Licensed Plumbers in New York

Top 10 Best Licensed Plumbers In New York – Yesterday i call John Farr Plumbing & Heating, Not a good experience at all. That said, i did not ultimately contract with mr. Farr. Maybe others will have a positive experience. John came to my property due to a leak in my basement. He inspected the area and indicated that he believed he could repair the leak but would like to see the upstairs area in case he was unable to access the leak from basement. This seemed reasonable so i called my first floor tenant and the tenant said he needed 10 minutes to clean up. John said he could not wait and would return later in the day. John arrived later in the day and examined my tenants apartment and said he would do the job for $800. John comes across competent and based on his google reviews and his $800 price i intended to enter into contract. John said i needed to tender 50% monies, which seemed excessive, but i figured ok. While he went to his car to write up a receipt i called my family and explained the job would be $800 and my family agreed that sounded reasonable. John returns with standard yellow invoice and all that is written was “$400 paid”. I pulled out $400 and look at the invoice and ask “can you write that the job is $800?”. John immediately flashes anger/frustration and expresses that he doesn’t need my job and who knows once he opens the basement ceiling what the job will be because he might need to break a wall upstairs. I am taken back by his attitude and tone but still feel he is the right man for the job. I ask jon further questions about the likelihood of his ability to do the job from the basement at the $800 price and ask him how much it will cost if he needs to break the wall upstairs. John appears frustrated by my questions and indicates he doesn’t need my job and i have to trust him that he will do his best to solve the problem from the basement but that if he needs to break the wall upstairs it can be a $2000 – $3000 job. Ok, i think to myself, i understand that he wont know the scope of the job until he begins (that makes sense) and i still have every intention of hiring him. I indicate to john i need to call my family because my understanding of the job has changed from when i spoke with them 5 minutes earlier. Although i am the decision maker on the job i still confer on advice when making family decisions. John says “so you are not the one who makes the decision?” i explain to john that while he was writing the receipt i called my family and explained the job differently from how he just explained and i need to call them, and have a quick conversation. John takes a step back and says “i don’t want your job” . I honestly at this point am becoming angry myself. John’s professional demeanor is awful and he seems to be implying my indicating i need to call my family bothers him for some reason.

Ultimately, i wasted a full day speaking to an unprofessional plumber who doesnt understand that (a) no one owes him the belief he operates in good faith, especially when he refuses to memorialize in writing his own terms of agreement and (b) rudely implies that my desire to consult with my family on a decision is somehow a personal affront. My personal opinion is avoid. Something wrong here at the interpersonal professional level.. So, here’s the 10 Licensed Plumbers in New York we ever tried:

I’ve been working with parkset for well over a decade, and these guys are great. They’re always prompt to return a phone call, and their proposal for replacing my boiler was professionally executed and thoroughly detailed. From start to finish, my experience on this job was excellent. A few years ago, their repair of our defective water main was excellent. Their fees were consistently fair, as well.

I have been dealing with this shoddy outfit for over a year and there is nothing good to say about them. If i could give this company no stars, i would. My contractor brought this company in to handle the plumbing aspect of my renovation. I wish my contractor never brought them in. I paid them months ahead of time and they showed up 6 months later to do the work. In addition, they installed a dual system which was a very large additional expense. I had an issue with the thermostat they installed a few months after they installed it. It could have been an easy phone call and they could have directed me how to re-set it… However, the man who took my phone call who was rude and incompetent told me that in order to help me he would have to put a service call in and i would have to pay for a visit. What???? now today was supposed to be my final plumbing inspection. They never called to tell me the time the inspector was showing up. They never called me period. The inspector showed up and they were not here. Don’t waste your hard earned money and time with this company. There is no customer service, no oversight and no appreciation with this company. Do yourself a favor and don’t use them.

Reaching out to john gives you peace of mind when buying a house or addressing any plumbing related matters. In the process of purchasing a foreclosed property i had major concerns about the safety and integrity of existing gas lines and plumbing a day before signing contract. I needed the opinion of an experienced master plumber to decide whether to move forward with the purchase. I reached out to john on a sunday and communicated my concern and the urgency of such – john took his time to hear me and even checked the property for violations right away. The next day john made himself available and was very thorough in inspecting the property for major plumbing issues and gave me what i felt was an honest and genuine expert opinion. John quoted me a reasonable price for the consultation . I encourage you to look at johns website and consider the services he offers.

John showed up to repair our toilet, evaluated the situation and gave quote. Ordered part, returned on the day and time he said he would. Ended up coming back on two separate occasions to do the repair but at no fault of his own was unable due to the faulty toilet. He would not take money from me although he had come to our home three times. I would use hub for any repair work we have in the future and strongly recommend them. Try to find a repair person who will come to your home and not charge you a fee just for making the trip. Integrity counts.

Petri was prompt to respond and schedule an appointment. However, when scheduling they refuse to provide a quote or even a rough estimate when you describe the problem. Why? because they charge a $100 fee just for showing up to give you an estimate that you have to pay whether or not you move forward with their suggestion. We called in for a simple wax seal repair on an otherwise new toilet (under a year old in a new construction). We had been experiencing some sewer gas smells. Petri showed up, took a visual look at the toilet, and then proceeded to propose an over $1600 job for a wax seal fix. They stated they needed to replace the valve, that we should replace the entire toilet (which of course we should order through petri and not go out on our own to get). It was a classic, but very poorly executed upsell job with unbelievable prices for something that should’ve been a simple fix that we would have gladly paid a few hundred dollars for. So now we are out $100 just because they showed up. I do not recommend this service and we will be going to task rabbit to support smaller, more honest local professionals.

3 years ago sessa plumbing installed a new boiler in my building. All seemed fine until last week when national grid was checking something in my building . They turned off the gas and took the meter because the pipe size to the boiler was incorrect. I reached out to richie at sessa. He said he would call me later and never got back to me. I called a few other plumbers who all came to look at the situation. I learned that the boiler was not installed to code. Also, it was not filed with the city and this is causing me additional costs and aggravation.

I was very impressed by the service provided by mr latty. After spending waaaay too much money with various other plumbers to fix my boiler. I called the boiler manufacturer which had mr latty listed as a repair provider (check 1). They quickly made the appt for a tech to come and assess the problem (check 2). I was told that there was a fee for the tech just to come to the home, which i thought was a bit high, but after reviewing a few places, he had the lowest fee (check 3). The tech came, repaired and was paid. Unfortunately the problem resurfaced the next day. I called mr latty, promptly after my call (maybe 10-15 mins, a technician was at my home, check 4). He made a reassessment and did repair at no additional cost (check 5). It’s been rare to find such efficiency, ethical practice and methodical work in the past with some plumbers that i’ve encountered. Mr latty was not even aware that i was pregnant and had small children in the home, which meant i needed expedited service to fix my boiler, he just showed up to do what was promised, getting the work done. Haven’t had an issue since and kids are staying warm. Overall, 5 star service.

We opened our summer home and had numerous plumbing issues, sump pump died, faucets didn’t work, and ha queens plumbing came out and very efficiently fixed everything. We had never had really hot water in the kitchen. They were able to adjust a circulation pump and now my wife is ecstatic, so hot she has to be careful. On time and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend h&a queens plumbing.

I’ve been using the flotech technicians at my mom’s house in yonkers for the past few years for various jobs, including plumbing, drain clearing, maintenance of the hot water heater and furnace. I have only good things to say about them. Mary in the office is always fun to speak with; pleasant and accommodating. The guys who come out to the job are polite, professional, and get the job done for a reasonable price. They’re very reliable, keeping in contact about arrival times. I’m glad i found them.
